On Tuesday, Oct. 19, we have the pleasure to have Dr. Heather Castleden, Professor, Impact Chair in Transformative Governance for Planetary Health from the Public Administration Department at the Univ. of Victoria join us to share more about her research for her talk “Tea Drinking and Sh*t Kicking in CBPR”.

About Heather Castleden: Heather has spent two decades doing participatory research with Indigenous peoples, communities, organizations, and governments on their priorities that align with her scholarly and applied expertise in environment, health, social justice, and decolonization. Among other projects, she is co-leading a CIHR-funded Team Grant concerning Indigenous leadership in renewable energy (A SHARED Future). It is this research program, and other projects she is doing, which are concerned with the damage we have done to the planet, that most closely aligns with Heather's new position at UVIC as the Impact Chair in Transformative Governance for Planetary Health.

These events are hybrid, you can join in person at the Univ. of Victoria at David Turbin Building, B232 or Zoom. Contact us using the Contact page to RSVP and get the Zoom link.

Everyone is welcome! We regularly have people from all over the world joining the conversation.
